our web portfolio

We offer complete custom and very affordable web site design and hosting for the small business, non-for-profit organisations and home users.

Below is a sample of work we have done for some our clients

  • UK Together Limited

    uktogether

UK Together is a small event management company based in South Manchester, who provide personal and professional social events throughout the year, for fee-paying members. UK Together organise social events from private parties, conferences, dinners, charity events to children's parties.
I was asked to take over the technical responsibilities of the site. I re-organised the internal working of the site, optimised the page layout to make the pages display faster, and added new pages, including an events calendar system, so they could show members various upcoming events, and allowed non-members to see the type of facilities the company had to offer.

  • Wythenshawe Community Church

Our client is a Christian Church based in Wythenshawe, Manchester. This was a complete re-design of their web site, as the previous web developer had become too busy with his own projects. They asked me to include all the features of their old web, but they also wanted to be able to add their own content themselves, easily. We added a calendar and some other useful features. More importantly, we thought using bright colours and simple design was the most effective approach.

our software development and consultancy portfolio

We provide complete bespoke software development, both new projects and maintaining or upgrading existing projects aimed at small business and non-for-profit organisations who may not have their own development team.

Below is a short list of clients that we have worked recently and the type of work we did for them.

  • Stock-In-Trade

We were originally asked to develop a set of sever-side applications that read data from a database and generated a Microsoft Excel document containing a list of products, which were e-mailed to various suppliers.

Since then, we have developed solutions that replaced their old system, in small and medium stages.

We worked in the following technologies:

    • Delphi (IDE environment)
    • SQL Server (database engine)
    • and Microsoft Office
  • Wythenshawe Community Church

Since we designed their web site (see above), we were asked to manage and maintain the site. Although they wished to add and modify the text content, they wanted someone to look after the picture, audio, and (occasional) video content, which they felt was too technical. The media content are mainly sermons that are recorded during their services, though they also have special events that takes place during the week.

We worked in the following technologies:

    • PHP (server-side scripting language)
    • My SQL (database engine)
    • and Adobe Dreamweaver and Soundbooth CS4 (design tools)
